The teamAll the expertise and knowledge gained throughout the years, should not go to waste. That is why, in 1975, Guy Moerenhout decided to create his own rally team: Guy Moerenhout Racing (GMR). This allowed Guy to put his theory and know-how into practice, as well as transfer his knowledge to his apprentices. Over the years, the team has grown to over 30 people, including people from all over Europe.

A grasp from the Guy Moerenhout Racing archivesCourse de CôteDuring the many times the GMR team participated in the Course de Côte, they did not only take part in rally’s, they also engaged in demo’s and hill & mountain climbs. And these rally’s don’t only focus on the driving part, for the GMR team discovering and appreciating the local specialties such as food and drinks are a crucial part of the full rally experience. That’s why they often bring their own cooking team. |
Targa FlorioFor five days, the GMR team drove through the entire island of Sicily during the regularity rally Targa Florio. Already two times Guy Moerenhout himself received an invitation for this exclusive rally in Italy, once in 1995 with a Simca Abarth 1300 and once in 2017 with two cars (Fiat Abarth Record Monza driven by Guy Moerenhout and Eric Van Bourgonie and Fiat Abarth 124 driven by Eric Vlaisloir and Erik Vanderveken). |
